The 24V sweet spot for home backup.
Half the current of 12V means thinner cables, less heat and more efficient transfers — which is why 24V is the standard for serious home backup. The PHSD 24V models pair a 2500VA pure sine inverter with the same 600W MPPT front end and four charging strategies, in the familiar wall-mount chassis.
At equal power, 24V halves battery current versus 12V — cheaper cabling, cooler connectors, longer relay life.
Runs a full kitchen circuit or a workshop; 5-second surge at double rating starts compressors and pumps.
Four charging modes adapt to time-of-use tariffs: charge from solar first, grid first, or solar only.
Cooling scales with temperature and load — full speed only above 80°C — keeping noise and dust down while extending component life.

24V halves the current for the same power, so cables, fuses and connectors run cooler and cheaper. Above roughly 1500VA, 24V is the engineering standard — the PHSD2500EBL24 delivers 2500VA at just over 100A instead of 200A+.
Any 24V bank: two 12V batteries in series, or our 25.6V 312Ah LiFePO4 pack (24312Y-01). Charging follows a 3-step lead-acid or CC/CV lithium algorithm, with cold-start at 23V.
The 24V models cap at 600W MPPT. If your array is larger, step up to the PHSD3500/PHSC5500 with 4,000–5,000W PV input and a wide 120–450VDC window.
